With a strong attacking style and an impressive theoretical foundation, Ivan Cheparinov is a chess fan favorite. More well-known as Topalov’s second, the young Bulgarian has developed into a formidable player in his own right. While not in the running for a top finish in the overall Grand Prix standings, he is nevertheless a dangerous opponent for any player, and as noted above, is sure to generate some fireworks on the board to the enjoyment of all chess fans.
