The pride of Kalmykia has fared quite well in several team events in recent years, though his two performances to date in the Grand Prix have been sub-par. Inarkiev will look to improve upon those results with a solid showing in Armenia, even if the likelihood that he finishes among the leaders in the overall standing is slim.
